FALL/WINTER VARSITY BOX LACROSSE LEAGUE

WHY PLAY BOX LACROSSE? The GLC Box Lacrosse League is designed to bring players into the action of box lacrosse — to keep the players having fun, learning the fundamentals of the game and in shape for the spring season. Box Lacrosse will help teach offensive players how to dodge in pressure and crowded situations and shoot with more accuracy. It will teach defensive players how to play more position defense and allow for more physical play (sorry no long poles). Lastly, it will increase goalie awareness and reflexes with the amount of speed indoor offers.

WHERE IS THE LEAGUE HELD? The league is held at He-Man Park’s indoor facility, located at 7210 Olive Rd. U-City 63130

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The league will cost only $110 per player.

WHO IS THE LEAGUE RUN BY? GLC Lacrosse, creators of Samurai Select and the GLC Summer Lax Camp, will manage and facilitate the league with the same great structure.

WHEN ARE THE GAMES? What better way to start your weekend with a game of lacrosse, the games will be played every Friday night starting at 6:00 p.m.Each team will have a one hour game a week. The game times will start at 6, 7, and 8:00 p.m. promptly. Games will begin on October 23rd and run 10/30, 11/13, 11/20, 11/27, 12/4, 12/11, and 12/18.

WHO CAN PLAY IN THE LEAGUE? This league is designed for competitive high school lacrosse players with at least 1-2 years of experience with outdoor lacrosse. Players are welcome from all area programs and will be placed on a team with other high school teammates

HOW MANY TEAMS AND HOW MANY PLAYERS ON A TEAM? Only Six teams will be formed for this league with 10-12 players per team. Seven players are on the field at a given time. So this will allow for a maximum amount of playing time for each player.

IS THIS REAL BOX LACROSSE? Yes, we will have real box goals and real box goalie equipment provided at the league. Along with your own GLC league penny.

ARE THERE SPECIAL RULES AND EQUIPEMENT NEEDED? No, come ready to play with all your outdoor equipment and indoor shoes. We will help guide you through the rest.
